近日，中国教育部认可了新西兰高等教育学院（New Zealand Tertiary College，简称NZTC）的高等教育资质，并在教育涉外监管信息网的国外院校名单上进行了公示。该网站上的国外院校名单也被称为“中国名单”，列出了资质被中国教育部认可的海外院校名单。想要出国完成高等教育的中国学生将以此名单为主要参考依据，决定出国就读的城市和学校。
新西兰高等教育学院在惠灵顿与来自中国大使馆的教育官员见面，并于2015年1月在奥克兰与中国领事会面。中方官员实地参观、体验、评估了新西兰高等教育学院的资质。学院最终得以加入“中国名单”是新西兰学历认证局在新西兰教育国际推广局帮助下，与中国教育部进行长达五年的谈判所取得的最佳成果。所有名单中的海外院校都达到了中国教育部和新西兰学历认证局的标准。新西兰高等教育学院所取得的资质认证对于中国学生和家长来说会是一个保证，其早期儿童教育的资质也得到了中国教育部的认可。
