工党Epsom选区候选人 麦克∙伍德（Michael Wood）
日前发布的Colmar Brunton 最新民调进一步证实Epsom地区的选民不相信行动党可以再度代表本区民众。
工党Epsom选区候选人Michael Wood表示：最新的民调显示，当被直接问及将支持谁时，Epsom的选民明显转向反对行动党，并且态度坚决。目前行动党在这一选区的候选人得到的支持率比国家党候选人Paul Goldsmith落后了12个百分点。而据同一个民调，行动党的党票支持率只有2.8%【而在全国只有0.3%左右】。
这表明Epsom民众不相信行动党值得人们再给其一次机会。拜行动党所赐，Epsom民众多年来经历了太多丑闻与耻辱，他们实在受够了。这个Colmar Brunton民调也显示：只有少于一半的Epsom选民支持国家党为拉行动党上台而做的交易。
如果Epsom的选民对国家党和行动党的极端政策了解得更清楚，相信支持这两党交易的民众只会更少。绝大多数普通的Epsom民众都不支持对新西兰养老金私有化、废除学区制【这一点华人家长一定要注意】、以及如行动党所希望的那样把医疗与教育领域引向市场化模式。
行动党如今是一个正在作垂死挣扎的极端政党。Epsom不应被一个靠自己力量竟无胜算的不争气政党当作救命稻草来利用。Epsom值得更好的对待。为此，我们将继续反对欺骗伎俩、为争取一个正当的民主进程而积极鼓与呼。

“Yesterday’s Colmar Brunton poll is further evidence that Epsom voters do not believe that ACT has earned the right to represent them again”, says Labour candidate for Epsom Michael Wood.
“The poll shows that when asked directly who they support, Epsom voters have turned decisively against ACT, whose candidate is 12 percent behind the National candidate Paul Goldsmith. ACT’s local Party vote is only 2.8 percent in the poll”
“This shows that Epsom does not believe that ACT deserves another chance. After many years of scandal and embarrassment, people have had enough of ACT. The Colmar Brunton poll also shows that fewer than half of Epsom voters support the Epsom deal to prop up the ACT Party”
“We believe that even fewer Epsom voters will be willing to prop up ACT as they come to better understand their extreme policies. Privatising the NZ Super Fund, abolishing school zoning, and moving to a market model in health and education as ACT wish to do, are not supported by the vast majority of ordinary Epsom people”
“ACT is an extreme Party in its death throes. Epsom should not be used as a life support mechanism for a Party which is not good enough to win on its own merits. Epsom deserves better, and we will continue our vigorous campaign to stand up for a proper democratic process instead of a rort”, says Michael Wood.
